Golden Wonder Snacks 1990
Golden Wonder is a leading manufacturer of snacks in the UK. In 1990 I was in my first agency account management position at Triangle part of Publicis in London. I worked on the Golden Wonder account. This was my first exposure to product licensing and several agreements were negotiated to use intellectual properties such as Batman (1989), Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles (1989) and The Simpsons (1990 -) which was in its first season on UK television.
The following packaging samples which I produced are interesting as they show the early days of movie tie-in’s and product licensing which are now an integral part of any major TV series production or movie release. I was so taken with the licensing business that a couple of years later I became a Director of the largest licensing agency in Europe, Copyright Promotions.
