Swap your spare change for music from iTunes

You know I hate iTunes and all the other online ‘legal’ music stores that let you buy music then tell you what you can do with it BUT every so often I spy a cool idea that appears to be well executed. You know the score you accumulate a pile of change in your bedroom and occasionally stroll to Safeway or similar to one of those change machines that counts it and then gives you paper money back. Although convenient there is one downside it usually costs you 10 - 15%.

So I came across this nice idea from Coinstar who operate said machines but offer a rather nice way of swapping your spare change for gift cards of your choice from a range of branded 3 rd parties including iTunes. Read about the different types of gift cards that Coinstar offers here.

All this sounds good in theory but I also found a review of how it works (and apparently it does!) here.
