Walmart have announced that they will stock a sub $300 HD video player which will effectively make HD available to the masses. Just like they did with DVD when they commoditized the hardware by offering DVD players for peanuts it will be interesting to see whether this will mean Mom and Dad will be getting into HD Video. No word on whether it is HD Video or Blu Ray - how long before we see another Walmart special a sub $300 multi format player - nice!
