Sony Launches ‘Home’
Sony have announced a new initiative at Game Developers Conference currently underway in San Francisco - the launch of ‘Home’ which they hope will rival Second Life. Owners of PS3’s will be able to access Home and chat with other users, buy clothes etc. in a move that Sony call Web.3.0 i.e. the fusion of entertainment, commerce and social networking . Could be good and it will be interesting to see whether Sony can harness and use the HD power of the PS3 to create a more realistic environment than SL. Check out a few images courtesy of CNET here.
