Vegas…

I’ve just got back from a quick trip to Vegas . It is one of the few places where rich and poor literally rub shoulders - well at least when the high rollers are strolling to the high stakes gaming rooms past the great unwashed playing slots!
So I took time out from gambling and ended up seeing a different side of Vegas that I at least found interesting. Hotels - I got an $69 web special from the Aladdin that is in desperate need of an upgrade, I managed to negotiate a better room but the high speed access was still an extra $11.99 per day. The Bellagio, MGM, and Caesars are all worth checking out if you’ve got some extra cash and want to stay in a really nice hotel.
If you like adrenalin rides check out Stratoshere which has rides at the top all of which I tried and are not bad the best being Big Shot and Insanity. For roller coaster aficionados check out New York New York for one of the best and most physical coasters I ‘ve ever been on.
Venture off the strip downtown and you’ll find the Fremont Street light experience (pictured) it’s impressive and free! Whilst you are there check out the Golden Nugget for some old school gambling and some cheap places to eat.
