Apple faces growing DRM protests

I found out that there is an anti DRM group - yes really Defective By Design Group seems to be piling on the pressure to stop Apple incorporating restrictions into their iTunes downloads. Their objective is to bring to the publics attention all the ‘defective’ products on the market. The org claims that by placing restrictions on how files can be used DRM-equipped products are “defective by design.” They are planning on sending ‘DRM Elimination Crews’ to a variety of Apple Stores in the US this weekend to protest.

We’ve been highlighting this issue for months so it will be interesting to see how it develops
